§ 6.3. Jurisdiction of county court if municipal court not created.

  • If the town council shall elect to not establish a municipal court, as provided in section 6.1 of this charter, the county court of Essex County shall have such jurisdiction within the town as the municipal court would have if it were established by the town council. The town council may enter into such contracts or agreements as it may deem necessary to permit the trial in said county court of cases or causes of action arising within the town or within the jurisdiction of the town.
