§ 6.1. Authority to establish municipal court; jurisdiction of court.

  • The town council may establish by ordinance a municipal court, which shall be known as the Municipal Court of Tappahannock. Jurisdiction of the municipal court in civil matters shall be as provided in Code of Virginia, § 16.1-77, and in criminal matters as provided in section 16.1-124 of the Code of Virginia.
