§ 3.5. Powers and duties of mayor.

The mayor shall preside over the meetings of the town council and shall vote only in case of a tie. He shall be recognized as the head of the town government for all ceremonial purposes, for the purposes of military law and for the service of civil processes. The mayor shall have no power of veto over the ordinances and resolutions of the town council. He shall possess such other powers and duties as he may from time to time be given by ordinance or resolution of the town council.
