The territory embraced within the Town of Tappahannock is that territory in the County of Essex, Virginia, established in section 1, chapter 450 of the Acts of Assembly of 1926 and as expanded by orders of the Circuit Court of Essex County entered on November 14, 1939 and of record in Law Order Book 9, page 231 and entered on November 8, 1966 and of record in Law Order Book 12, page 107.
